All right. So, OTC is coming up, Offshore Technology Conference. This is the largest technology conference in the world, it takes place in Houston, Texas, May 5th through 8th. What a lot of people don’t know, not only is it the world’s largest technology conference, it’s also the fourth largest trade show in the world. I expect over 100,000 people to show up this year which break an all-time record. So, let’s talk a little bit about what you needed to do to get the most out of your trip to OTC.

All right. Number one, you need a plan. You need to have — sit down and figure out what you want to accomplish and figure out which breakfast tracks, exhibits, and networking events you want to go to. There is so much going on that if you don’t have a plan, you’re going to miss out on a lot of stuff and spend a lot of time wasted on things that you probably shouldn’t be spending the time on.

Number two. And this is the one I tell all about my female friends, wear comfortable shoes. Put you heels in the bag, bring some tennis shoes. It’s miles and miles and miles of walking and if you don’t have comfortable shoes on, you’re going to be hating it the next day.

Number three. You may not know this, but there are cellphone charging stations on the front wall of the Reliant Center and it’s a God send. It’s hard to find places to plug in, so these charging stations will keep you going through the entire event.

Number four. Make sure you check out all the topical breakfasts and lunches. And that’s actually one of the things that we do with our clients is we help them figure out the best way to do a topical breakfast or lunch in order to attract prospects. But, you need to go to these things to learn more about the industry.

Number five. Networking events. There are thousands of networking events going on. You have the published ones that the public knows about and then you have the non-published insider- only ones that only the people in the oil and gas industry know about. If you need some help with some of that reach out to me direct and I’ll see what I can do and see if I can get you anything.

And then, learn. Don’t go to OTC without having an open mind to learn something new. There are so much going on, there are so much new technology and so many change in business processes that you need to actually devote some time to learning what is new, it’s one of the reasons we actually go.

And then finally, don’t forget, the week after OTC we’re going to give away over 19,000 oil and gas contacts free. So, stay tuned, you’ll figure out how to get your hands in these things.

So hopefully this helps you. We will see you next time.
