ronA little girl was diligently pounding away on her grandfather’s word processor.

She told him she was writing a story.“What’s it about?” he asked. “I don’t know,” she replied. “I can’t read.”

Got this in an email from my friend JB. I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to share this and make a connection to money management. Reading this cute anecdote reminds me of most of us who are diligently knocking back hours to earn a living. The question might be asked,

What’s it about? What are you doing with all that money you are earning?

The answer might very well be, “I don’t know. I can’t seem to keep track of it!” One of the proven paths to building wealth is increasing the amount of money you keep. This as compared to the other path which is increasing the amount of money you make.

Working diligently is a good thing.

Losing what you are diligently working for is not.

Have I got a witness?
