Mark: Hey, folks lets learn something new about the oil and gas industry.

All right. We’re sitting here at The Energy Conference Network. We’re sitting here talking to Symon and we’re talking about the oil and gas supply chain. Did I get that right?

Symon: You did. Supply chain and procurement.

Mark: Yeah, supply chain and procurement.

Symon: Yes.

Mark: So, Simon what’s going on with this?

Symon: It’s a conference we’re running in December this year, 6th and 7th of December. We ran it last year very successfully in December about eighty people attending last year, great companies, great speakers.

And this year, it’s looking fantastic. We’ve got almost double the amount of speakers and the attendance, we’re looking at well over a hundred of people. So, a lot of interesting topic particularly at the moment with the times at the moment, it has really hit the mark in terms of the topic, so it’s going to be a great event.

Mark: Yeah. And so, I know from history that this entire industry; upstream, midstream, downstream servers all are struggling with supply chain. But, especially in this low crude price now, but the price of crude starting to creep but we’re still in a low crude price environment, people need to bring efficiencies and cost out of supply chain and here’s a place that actually know how to do it.

Symon: Absolutely. And that’s the theme of the conference. So, we’re looking at what successful companies have done over the past twelve months and it really has been some – some fantastic initiatives within the supply chain area.

And then, what we need to do moving forward, we’re looking at the technologies available, we’re looking at collaboration, but internal collaboration with – with other stakeholders and external collaboration. And a big theme and this is sort of ties into our other conferences is the use of data to increase efficiencies in supply chain.

Mark: Yeah. So, if you’re in supply chain, if you’re in procurement, if you’re in operation side of the business and supply chain is a thorn in your butt, you need to come check this conference out.

I’ll be there. We’ll actually have the podcast crew there. I’m sure Symon will be there since this is your conference.

Symon: I’ll be there.

Mark: Yeah. So, Symon, if people wanted to learn more about this conference, where should they go?

Symon: They should go to our website, EnergyConferenceNetwork.com. They’ll see that event and all our other great events.

Mark: Yeah. And, we’ll put a link in the show notes, so you don’t have to be taking notes.

Symon, thank you so much for your time today.

Symon: No problem. Thanks very much.

Mark: Yeah. So, folks I hope this helped. We will see you next time.
