AI Reputation for Energy Companies
What ChatGPT and Perplexity tell energy buyers about your company, measured over repeated runs and traced to the sources behind each answer. Then fixed.

The question your buyers are already asking
"Who are the best firms for this in the Permian?" A buyer types that into ChatGPT or Perplexity and gets four or five names. If you are not one of them, you are not on the shortlist, and nobody tells you.
Named and cited are different problems
Our Energy AI Visibility Index separates two things most AI visibility tools blend into one score. Named means your company appears in the answer the buyer reads. Cited means the engine used your own website as a source.
In Report #1, built from 600 recorded answers about 25 firms, the two came apart in both directions. BCG was named 257 times and cited 81. Umbrex was named 20 times and cited 72. The first is a brand recalled without evidence. The second is substance without recognition. The fixes are different, which is why one blended score cannot tell you what to do.
Report #2 widened the field to 1,584 answers: 9 of the 49 companies outside each segment's best known names were never named in any answer to their own buyers' questions.
How we measure
- We write the prompts your buyers would actually type, by segment and buying stage, and agree them with you before anything runs.
- We run each prompt repeatedly on each engine, because AI answers change from run to run. A screenshot tells you about one run.
- We report how often you are named and cited as rates with ranges, next to your competitors measured the same way.
- We list the sources each engine drew on, so you can see which articles, directories and pages are shaping the answer.
How we fix it
An engine can only repeat what it has read. If you are cited but rarely named, the work is recognition: earned media in the outlets the engines already trust. If you are named but rarely cited, the work is substance: pages on your own site that state what you do, for whom, with evidence an engine can quote. If the engine has your facts wrong, the work is correcting the sources it reads.
Afterwards we run the same prompts again, so the change shows up as a number rather than an impression.
Start with a Snapshot
The AI Reputation Snapshot is a fixed-fee read of your company and up to three competitors: how often each engine names you, how often it uses your own site as a source, how it describes you, which sources sit behind those answers, and the first three fixes in priority order. The fee is scoped on a 20-minute call.
